Double your profits? – Here’s one way!!

Double your profits? – Here’s one way!!

On Friday 11th September we held a joint event with Pure B2B at Topes restaurant in Rochester, twenty business owners came together to learn about: –

1  How to analyse your business key numbers and then use systems to improve those numbers and grow profits.  Are you measuring the key numbers in your sales process?  These include the following: –

  • Number of leads you actually meet and follow up on
  • The number of meetings you produce a quote for
  • The number of quotes you win
  • The average value of your job and/or service
  • The referral rate for your customers

We analysed a business and how you can achieve an 83% increase in profits by measuring and improving each of these key business drivers.

We then explored systems to measure these key profit drivers each month and report them on a single sheet of A4 paper.

2  Use the “Get Fruitful Marketing Manifesto” to attract more people to your business: –

  • Get Strategic
  • Get Holistic
  • Get Insight
  • Get a Plan
  • Get Invested
  • Get Tested
  • Get Consistent

Follow the manifesto for marketing success with Anwen and Get Fruitful Marketing.

3  Use the talent in your team to improve productivity and profits, by giving them purpose and how to unlock your business potential through an Emotional Capital Report.

Gillian shared seven top tips for increasing your productivity: –

  • Start the day well
  • Stay focused – 3 important tasks to complete a day
  • Expect to have a good day
  • Do not try to be superhuman
  • Maintain a good mood and positive focus
  • Notice your achievements
  • When all else fails ….. breathe, relax and start again!

4  Mastermind group – use the knowledge and experience of your fellow business owners to help solve your business challenges, opportunities and dilemmas.

Over lunch each business owner presented an issue they were having difficulty with.  Everyone on the table then asked 2 questions to clarify that the group had fully understood the issue described.  We then went around the table for a second time and each person made suggestions about how the issue owner might take action to solve that issue.

The selection of challenges discussed were:-

  • What business activity should I concentrate my efforts on?
  • How do I thank clients for referrals in a meaningful way?
  • Legacy customers that are being undercharged now that the business has changed?
  • How can I empower my team to serve clients in the same way I would?
  • How can I take 3 months out of my business?

I hope that some of these points resonate with you and that you would like to make the changes to improve your business.  If so, contact the Team at Aspirations on 01634 298238 or e-mail team@aspirationsaccountancy.carciofinodev.co.uk where someone will be delighted to help you.
